Due to the increasing incidence of fraudulent return requests, false damage claims, and misuse of return policies within the e-commerce industry, we take all return and refund requests very seriously.

Our return process is designed to protect both our customers and our business. All return requests are reviewed individually, and approval is contingent upon compliance with the terms outlined in this policy. We require clear documentation, accurate information, and timely communication to ensure returns are handled fairly and efficiently.

Any return request containing false, misleading, or incomplete information, or that does not comply with our stated policies, may be denied without exception. Reboot Bay reserves the right to investigate all claims and to refuse service in cases of suspected abuse or fraud.

By submitting a return request or completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the terms of this Returns & Refunds Policy.

1. Return Authorization Required

All returns must be approved in advance. Items returned without prior authorization may be refused and returned to the sender at the customer’s expense. Approval of a return request does not guarantee a refund.

2. Return Timeframes

  • Regular items must be reported and returned within 14 days of delivery

  • Damage claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery

  • Requests submitted outside these timeframes may be denied without exception

3. Condition of Returned Items

Returned items must be:

  • In the same condition as received
  • Free from additional damage, misuse, or modification
  • Returned with all original accessories, packaging, and documentation
  • Returned with original serial numbers and identification intact

Items that fail inspection may be denied a refund or may incur additional fees.

4. Damaged on Arrival (DOA)

If an item arrives damaged:

  • The issue must be reported within 48 hours

  • The customer must provide required evidence, including:

    • Photos of the outer shipping box and label
    • Photos of internal packaging
    • Clear photos or videos of the damage
  • Customers must refuse delivery if the package appears severely damaged, opened, crushed, wet, or tampered with

Failure to provide required documentation or refusal to follow these steps may result in claim denial.

5. Restocking Fees

  • Regular items: No restocking fee (if approved)
  • Customized, special order, and drop-shipped items: 25% restocking fee
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error

6. Fraud Prevention & False Claims

Reboot Bay actively monitors return activity to prevent fraud. Any return request containing false, misleading, or incomplete information may be denied. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • False damage claims
  • Misrepresentation of item condition
  • Submission of altered or reused photos or videos
  • Claims inconsistent with carrier records or inspection results

Reboot Bay reserves the right to refuse service, deny refunds, and restrict future purchases in cases of suspected abuse or fraud.

7. Inspection & Final Decision

All returned items are subject to inspection upon receipt. Reboot Bay reserves the sole right to determine:

  • Whether a return is approved
  • Whether a refund, replacement, or partial refund is issued
  • The amount of any applicable refund

All decisions are final.

8. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Processing begins after inspection and approval
  • Please allow 3–7 business days for refund processing after approval
  • Banks or payment providers may require additional processing time

9. Shipping Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to our error
  • Reboot Bay is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping
  • Trackable shipping is strongly recommended

10. Shipping Insurance

Shipping insurance is optional but strongly recommended, especially for high-value items. Failure to purchase insurance may limit recovery options in the event of loss or damage.

11. Policy Modifications

Reboot Bay reserves the right to modify or update this Returns & Refunds Policy at any time without prior notice. The policy in effect at the time of purchase will apply.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a return request, you confirm that all information provided is true and accurate and that you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions in full.
